GAFFNEY, S.C.- The Chowan Women's Tennis team fell 6-1 to the Limestone Saints in a Conference Carolinas match on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In Doubles:
Chowan fell short 6-4 at the No.1 doubles match with
Cynthia Carrier and
Arina Karbolina.
Julieta Lecce and
Angelique Gouin recovered for the Blue and White with a 6-4 win over the Saints at the No.2 position, before Limestone picked up the third doubles match by default from Chowan.
In Singles:
The Hawks dropped the No.1 singles match with
Cynthia Carrier 4-6, 6-1, 6-0, while teammate
Arina Karbolina secured the lone singles win 7-5, 6-4 at the second singles match.
Julieta Lecce was unable to beat her opponent 5-7, 6-4, 2-6 for the Hawks at the No.3 singles position, before
Angelique Gouin fell short 6-0, 6-1 at the fourth singles match.
Limestone claimed the No.5 singles 6-0, 6-0 over
Claire Revelle, before they grabbed the No.6 singles match by default from the Hawks.
UP NEXT
The Hawks will return home on April 13-14 when they host King on Saturday, April 13
th before facing Lees-McRae on Sunday.
