SUMTER, S.C. –The Chowan Men's Tennis team concluded their season in the quarterfinals of the Men's Conference Carolinas Tennis Championship after falling to Belmont Abbey 4-0 on Friday Morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In Doubles:
The Crusaders grabbed an early lead in doubles play over the Hawks. At the No.2 doubles match,
Adi Kaliakperov and
Louis Proulx were unable to fend off Belmont Abbey 6-2 before claiming the No.3 doubles position by default from Chowan.
In Singles:
The Crusaders grabbed the No.6 singles match by default from Chowan to lead the match 2-0.
Edmond Aynedjian fell short 6-0, 6-4 to his opponent at the No.1 singles match before
Mariano Yeh slipped 6-4, 6-2 at the third singles match.
FINALS NOTES
Chowan ends the season with a 7-13 overall record and 4-5 in the league. The Hawks earned a bid into the Conference Carolinas Tennis Championship for the second year straight.
