FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.-The Chowan Women's Bowling team completed traditional matches in day two of the North/South CIAA Event III on Saturday evening. The Hawks currently sit in fourth place among the Northern Divisional teams.

INSIDE THE LANES
With a 154.10 two day average, Baylee placed 22nd overall in the tournament for the Hawks. Laxton bowled a 176 team high in the final match of the day.
Raven Finley-Flowers follows Laxton with a 125.50 average while,
Kailah Herbin records a 121.80 for the Hawks after posting a 162 against Virginia State.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Chowan knocked down 6,297 pins and posted a 2-6 tournament record after day two of traditional matches. The Hawks picked up the 641-602 victory over Elizabeth City State in the first match of the day.
The Panthers of Virginia Union handed Chowan their first loss after posting a 763-630 final score in match two.
Nia Foy posted the team high of 155 for the Blue and White.
The Hawks slipped to Bowie State 849-622, before Virginia State dropped a 917-647 decision on Chowan in the final match of the day.
