MURFREESBORO, N.C..-The Chowan Men's Tennis team fought a hard battle, but fell short 4-3 to Christopher Newport on Sunday afternoon.

ON THE COURTS
In Doubles:
Chowan swept doubles matches with
Mariano Yeh and
Edmond Aynedjian securing the No.1 doubles 6-4, while
Adi Kaliakperov and
Louis Proulx grabbed the second doubles match 6-4 for the Hawks.
In Singles:
Edmond Aynedjian secured the 6-2, 6-4 victory at the No.1 singles match for the Blue and White.
Mariano Yeh fought a hard fight at the No.2 singles match. Yeh was unable to hold off the Captains 7-6 (8-6), 6-7 (5-7), 2-6, before
Adi Kaliakperov fell short to his opponent 5-7, 6-2, 5-7 at the No.3 singles.
At the No.4 singles match,
Louis Proulx beat his opponent 6-1, 6-4 for the Blue and White.
Rafael D'Atri slipped at the No.5 singles position 6-2, 6-1, before Christopher Newport grabbed the sixth singles match by default from Chowan.

The Hawks are back on home court to host North Carolina Wesleyan on Tuesday, March 26. Match is set for 2:00pm at the Rose Family Tennis Courts.
