HOW IT HAPPENED
In Doubles:
The Hawks started the match of slow in doubles play with
Cynthia Carrier and
Arina Karbolina taking a 3-6 def. from Belmont Abbey at the No.1 position.
Julieta Lecce and
Angelique Gouin were unable to beat the Crusaders 3-6 at the No. 2 doubles match.
Belmont Abbey claimed the third doubles win by a default from Chowan.
In Singles:
Cynthia Carrier grabbed the victory for the Hawks at the No.1 singles match defeating her opponent 6-2, 6-2.
Arina Karbolina slipped 6-3, 6-1 at the No. 2 position, while teammate
Julieta Lecce recovered for the Blue and White with a 7-5, 6-4 victory at the third singles match.Â
Angelique Gouin picked up her first set 6-3 over her opponent but was unable to secure the match win 6-7, 5-10 at the No. 4 singles.Â
Belmont Abbey grabbed the fifth singles victory over
Claire Revelle 6-0, 6-0 for the final 5-2 match win.Â
