MURFREESBORO, N.C.-The Chowan Men's Tennis team battled tough but were unable to defeat Barton on home court Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In Doubles:
Barton grabbed the No.1 doubles 7-5 over
Mariano Yeh and
Edmond Aynedjian.
Seniors,
Adi Kaliakperov and
Louis Proulx recovered for the Blue and White, 6-3 at the second doubles match.
The Bulldogs claimed the No.3 doubles by default from the Hawks for an early 1-0 lead into singles play.
In Singles:
Mariano Yeh was unable to secure the No.1 singles match after his opponent won 6-3, 6-3.
Edmond Aynedjian recovered for the Hawks after he defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-1, before teammate
Adi Kaliakperov followed with a 7-5, 1-6, 6-2 victory at the No. 3 singles match.
Senior,
Louis Proulx claimed the fourth singles match win after beating the Bulldogs 6-4, 6-4.
Barton took the No.6 singles by a default from Chowan.
With the score tied 3-3, it was the No.5 singles position that clinched the match for Barton after defeating
Rafael D'Atri 6-1, 6-3.
