HILTON HEAD, S.C.-The Chowan Women's Tennis team opened play at the 2019 Spring TennisFest with a 1-6 loss to Indiana (Pa.) on Monday evening. The match was originally set for 2:00pm but pushed back to 6:00pm because of inclement weather.

In Doubles:
The Hawks grabbed the No.1 doubles match 6-4 with
Cynthia Carrier and
Arina Karbolina.
Julieta Lecce and
Angelique Gouin slipped 6-1 at second doubles match, before Indiana won the No.3 doubles by default.
In Singles:
At the No.1 singles match
Cynthia Carrier won the first set 7-6 (3-1), she was unable to secure the second set 6-4 before dropping the tiebreaker 10-5.
Arina Karbolina beat her opponent 7-5, 6-0 at the No.2 singles position, before Julieta Lecca dropped the third singles match 6-1, 6-1.
Indiana won the No.4 singles 6-2, 6-2 over
Angelique Gouin before,
Claire Revelle was unable to grab the No.5 singles 6-0, 6-0 for the Hawks.
