ELIZABETH CITY, N.C.-The Chowan Women's Bowling team completed day one of the North/South Divisional CIAA Round Up hosted by Elizabeth City State on Friday afternoon.

INSIDE THE LANES
Baylee Laxton led the Hawks with a phenomenal 154.8 bowling average with a 179 team high in the second match against Fayetteville State.
Raven Finley-Flowers posted a 131 average for the Blue and White while
Kailah Herbin recorded a 118.8 after day one.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Chowan faced Shaw in the first match of the opening day. The Bears claimed the close 664-624 victory over the Hawks with
Kailah Herbin posting a 155 team high.
Fayetteville State handed the Hawks a 671-813 loss in the second match, before recovering in the third team match 658-653 over St. Augustine's.
Baylee Laxton posted a 148 team high while
Raven Finley-Flowers bowled a 134 for the Blue and White.
The Hawks fell short to Johnson C. Smith 580-589 before sealing the team win over Livingston 638-594 in the final match of the day.
Baylee Laxton recorded a 177 team high to lift the Hawks to victory.
