MOUNT OLIVE, N.C.-The Chowan Men's Tennis team dropped their opening conference match 0-5 to Mount Olive on Tuesday evening. This match served as the first Conference Carolinas contest for the season for both teams.

ON THE COURTS
In Doubles:
Mariano Yeh and
Edmond Aynedjian faced their opponent at the No.1 doubles, but weren't enough to overcome the Trojans 6-1.
Seniors,
Adi Kaliakperov and
Louis Proulx fell short at the No.2 doubles match 6-4, with Mount Olive winning the third doubles match by default from Chowan.
In Singles:
At the No.1 singles position,
Mariano Yeh picked up the first set 6-3, but was unable to finish the second match (4-3) because of inclement weather.
Edmond Aynedjian slipped to the Trojans 6-4. 6-1 at the second position, before teammate
Adi Kaliakperov was unable to finish play at the No. 3 singles (4-2) because of inclement weather.
Louis Proulx was def. 6-2, 6-3 at the fourth singles match, before
Rafael D'Atri fell to Mount Olive 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 5 singles.
The Trojans grabbed the sixth singles win by a default from the Hawks.
UP NEXT
The Hawks are back on home court as they host West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday, February 22. Match time is set for 3:00pm.
