CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Chowan Women's Bowling team dropped to 0-8 in the event following a 0-4 outing on day two of the CIAA Event I hosted by Johnson C. Smith.

Leading the Hawks with a two day average 156.2 isÂ
Baylee Laxton who posted a 184 team high in the final match of the day.
Jasmine Basnight is second on the squad with a 109.5 average for the Blue and White.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Chowan opened the second day with a close 527-540 loss to Elizabeth City State.
Baylee Laxton paced the Hawks in the match with a score of 168 while
Jasmine Basnight posted 118 in the contest.
The team fell 551-651 in the second match to Virginia State before dropping the third match 520-736 to Virginia Union.
Although
Baylee Laxton posted a 184 season best, the Hawks were unable to beat the Lady Bulldogs of Bowie State 617-640 in the final match of the day.
