Women's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan puts its three match winning streak on the line as the Hawks improved to 3-6-2 on the season and 3-3-2 in league play with a win over King this weekend.
Carolina Lucci leads the Hawks with four goals and two assists this season. Lillian DeLucca has scored three times. Stephanie Quintanilla has found the back of the net twice.
Sierra Gonzalez, Shannon Park, and Sabrina Henderson have scored one goal each this season. Gonzalez has two assists as well.
Lynzie Hulle has 37 saves on the year and lowered her goals allowed average to 1.59 after allowing only one goal in the past three matches.
TOP RANKED TROJANS
For the fourth time this season Chowan will face a regionally ranked opponent as Mount Olive is ninth in the region with a 9-0-1 overall record. The Trojans lead the Conference Carolinas with a 7-0-0 mark.
The Trojans have won six straight matches but had to use overtime to get past North Greenville last weekend in a 1-0 win.
Jaelyn Brown and Kali Schindler lead the attack with seven and six goals respectively. Brown also has five assists on the year, while Sara Berglund has seven assists to go with her four goals.
Taylor Lewis has kept opposing offenses out of goal this season allowing one goal in almost 800 minutes of action.
Men's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan, ranked 10th in the region, moved to 7-4-0 on the season and sit with a 5-1-0 mark in league play, good for second in the league table.
Harrison Ardron leads the Conference Carolinas with 11 goals, with eight of those coming in league play. Toby Sims has five goals on the season with four coming against league opponents.
Trevin Myers sits in second in the league with six assists. Mitchell Levi Lewis and Joury den Boogert have five assists each.
Ross Miller is 7-3-0 on the season with three shutouts and a 1.29 goals allowed average.
AILING THE TROJANS
Mount Olive is limping towards the end of the season with a 3-7-1 overall record and a 2-3-1 mark in league play. The Trojans picked up a win against North Greenville to snap a three match losing streak in which they were outscored 18-3.
Arthur Lucas and Alfie Pope lead the team with four goals each. Pope has not played in the last five matches.
Iwan Roberts allows 3.19 goals per match in his 10 starts this season.
