FREDERICK, Md.-The Chowan Men's and Women's Cross Country team concluded their regular season competition by placing 14^th and 13^th respectively at the Hood College Open on Saturday morning.

ON THE COURSE
For the Men:
Eastern won the meet as a team with 48 points. Salisbury earned second place with 50 points while Franklin and Marshall finished third overall with 104 points as a team.

Chowan finished in 14^th place as a team with 420 points.

Bryton Henry from Eastern clocked a time of 25:52.4 for a first place finish.

After setting a personal best by 3:17 minutes, Rayvon McKoy ran a 31:06.3 for the Hawks to finish in 80^th overall.

Kevin Taylor crossed the line in 32:36.0 to finish in 92^nd place while, Timofey Tokmakov posted a 37:06.5 for Chowan.

Also competing for the Blue and White was Adi Kaliakperov and Dragan Omcikus who ran a 42:58.2 and 42:58.6 respectively.

For the Women:
On the women's side, Eastern took the meet title with 28 points. Salisbury secured second place after earning 46 points, while Franklin and Marshall grabbed third overall with 132 points.

The Hawks finished the meet in 13^th overall after posting 348 points as a team.

Running unattached was Meggan Grams who won the women's individual with a time of 21:43.8.

In a field of 135, Lela Knight finished for Chowan in 54^th place overall. Knight averaged a 7:14 minute mile posting a 6k personal best of 26:54.7

Also improving her 6k time by 2:75 minutes, Elizabeth Stokes posted a 29:41.7 personal best for the Blue and White. Stokes finished in 83^rd place averaging a 7:58 minute
mile in her race.

Rounding out the scoring for Chowan was Keyera Wilkerson, Eryka Harrison, and Ravine Billy.

The Hawks will gear up to compete in the 2019 Conference Carolinas Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 26^th. Conference Championships will be held on the campus of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, N.C.
