RALEIGH, N.C. – The Chowan Bowling team wrapped up the CIAA Event II hosted by Saint Aug's on Sunday with Baker match play. The Hawks went 2-10 on the weekend playing all CIAA Northern Division opponents.

INSIDE THE LANES
Fayetteville State took home the Southern Division title with a clean 12-0 overall record, while Virginia State placed first for the Northern Division. The Trojans posted a 11-1 record in the tournament.
Chowan as a team averaged 639.2 on the day for a total of 2,885 pins.
The Hawks dropped the first match 741-553 to Virginia State. Heading into the second match, Chowan battled Virginia Union back and forth but was unable to secure the win (662-646).
Chowan picked up the 611-487 victory over Elizabeth City State before falling short to Bowie State 693-610.

The Hawks will return to the lanes on February 8-10 when they travel to compete at the CIAA Round Up hosted by Elizabeth City State in Elizabeth City, N.C.
