Chowan hits the road for their first true road contest of the season after opening the season with a 5-1 home win over Shaw. Trevin Myers scored twice in the win including the game-winning goal as the Hawks scored four goals in the second half.
Chowan finished the 2017 season with an 11-5-2 overall record and a 5-3-2 record in Conference Carolinas action. CU is picked to finish second in the league in their second season as a member.
Lee Wattam returns as the leading scorer from last season with five goals and four assists. Elliot Chadderton will look to continue to keep the ball out of the back of the net as the keeper allowed 1.24 goals per contest last season with eight shutouts.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Wingate enters the contest with a 1-1 overall record. The Bulldogs started the season ranked #18 in the country but fell in their season opener on the road to Rollins. Wingate rebounded with a win against Saint Leo.
Elliot Cutts leads the Bulldogs scoring three of the four goals this season. Oscar Perez tallied the fourth goal including the game-winner against Saint Leo on a penalty kick.
