COLUMBUS, Ga.- The Chowan Men's Tennis team fell to the top-seed and nationally ranked Columbus State Cougars, 5-0 in the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Southeast Region Tournament on Monday morning. The Cougars will move on to face the No.4 seed USC Aiken and No.5 seed Wingate match winner.

In Doubles:
The Cougars grabbed an early lead in doubles play over the Hawks. At the No.2 doubles match

Mateusz Izycki fell short 8-2.

In Singles:
The Hawks and Cougars went back and forth at each singles set.
Adi Kaliakperov grabbed the first set at the No. 2 singles 6-4 while teammate
Mariano Yeh kept the score close 4-4 at the No.6 singles second set.
Senior,
Rafael Goncalves slipped at the No.5 singles 6-4, 6-1 before Columbus State secured the match win at the No.5 singles 6-2, 6-3 over
Louis Proulx.
