MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) will host its 2018 Bowling Championship in Virginia Beach, Virginia on Friday, March 23 – Saturday, March 24, 2018. A new host location this year, the event will be held at AMF Lynnhaven Lanes. Opening ceremony will begin at 10:35 a.m. on Friday. The championship is free and open to the public.

CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW
Chowan enters as the number four seed from the Northern Division and seventh seed overall. In the first match of the championships the Hawks will take on Bowie State, the number one seed from the Northern Division and defending Champions. The championships is a double elimination bracket play format.

Leslie Maloney leads the Blue and White with a total average per game pin fall of 133.2, having knocked down 5,604 pins this season. Followed by teammate
Raven Finley-Flowers who has accumulated a pin fall of 5,433 this season for an average game pin fall of 129.7.
Kailah Herbin has posted an average game pin fall of 130.2 and 5,229 pin count for the Hawks.
Jasmine Basnight recorded a total pin count of 5,166 for the season, averaging 123.7 a game, while
Jasmine Miles goes into the tournament with an average of 129.3 pins per game and 4,917 season pin count.
Baylee Laxton will also be competing for the Blue and White in the tournament.
