BELMONT, N.C.– The Chowan Men's tennis team secured a 5-4 win over defending Conference Carolinas Season Champions, Belmont Abbey on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In Doubles:

• The Hawks took the No.1 doubles match with Ghassan Alansi and Adi Kaliakperov defeating their competitors 8-6.
• Mariano Yeh and Mateusz Izycki fell short 8-7 with a battle at the No.2 doubles, while Rafael Goncalves and Louis Proulx recovered for the Blue and White 8-6, at the third doubles match.

In Singles:

• Ghassan Alansi secured the No.1 singles 6-2, 6-4 win for Chowan while, Adi picked up the No.2 singles match 6-0, 1-6 in a 6-1 tiebreaker. 
• Mateusz Izycki fell short in a tough 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (12-10) battle at the No.3 singles position. 
• Louis Proulx dropped the fourth singles 6-4, 6-4 while teammate, Rafael Goncalves slipped at the No.5 singles match 6-4, 7-6 (7-3). 
• Mariano Yeh recovered for the Hawks at the sixth singles match for a 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 victory.

The Hawks hit courts on Saturday, March 24^th as they host Limestone in conference action. Match time is set for 2:00pm at the Rose Family Tennis Courts.
