INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

Olivia Borer played strong in the net stopping six shots.

Sierra Gonzalez, Sydney Henderson, and Shannon Park tallied a shot on goal in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half:

Limestone went on the attack early but one shot was on frame in the 12' but was denied by Olivia Borer.

Stephanie Quintanilla posted the first shot for the Hawks in the 21' but her attempt sailed high.

The defensive battle continued throughout the half with neither team finding a goal.

Second Half:

Both sides continued to fight for the attacking third until a questionable call in the 65' awarded the Saints a penalty kick.  Olivia Borer would dive to her right but the attempt was just outside her reach and found the back of the net.

The Saints looked to push another across in the 70' but Olivia Borer and the defense would keep the Saints at-bay as Borer stopped two of the three shots and cleared out of danger.

The Hawks looked for a final push in the final 10 minutes of the match as Sydney Hender and Sierra Gonzalez tallied shots on frame but were saved.

Chowan's final look at cage in the waning seconds of the match were unsuccessful as the Saints' keeper kept the clean sheet.
