MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Soccer continues forward in the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Championship as the No. 3 seed Hawks take on No. 7 seed Emmanuel in the semifinals on Thursday evening in Gaffney S.C.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan advanced in the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Championship with a 2-0 win over Barton in the quarterfinals on Monday afternoon. The Hawks are 10-3-2 on the season and sit sixth in the United Soccer Coaches Association Regional poll and seventh in the NCAA Regional poll.
Trevin Myers leads the team with seven goals, Harry Garstang has six goals and five assists to pace the team in points.
Harry Ardron and Denis Roule sit with five and four goals respectively. Mitchell Levi Lewis picked up a single-season and conference leading 10th assist on the season.
Chowan handed Emmanuel a 3-0 loss on October 20 on the road.
TAMING THE UNDER LIONS
Emmanuel is playing with house money as the No. 7 seeded Lions upset No. 2 seeded Belmont Abbey in the quarterfinals, 1-0. The Lions are 8-8-1 coming into the contest.
The Lions have played in 12 matches that have been decided by a one goal margin including the last three matches of the season since the 3-0 loss to the Hawks.
Blair Springhall scored the game-winner in the 13' against Belmont Abbey for the upset. Danny Cameron leads the Lions with nine goals.
CONFERENCE CAROLINAS MEN'S SOCCER TOURNAMENT
The top-seeded Limestone survived a scare from No. 8 seed Mount Olive as the Saints advanced on the PK shootout. Limestone will face No. 4 seed King, as the Tornado defeated Lees-McRae, 3-1. The first semifinal match will be at 4pm.
After defeating Barton, Chowan will face Emmanuel at 7pm.
The winner of each contest will appear in the Conference Carolinas Championship Match on Saturday, November 3 at 7pm.
