MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Soccer battled to a scoreless double-overtime draw on Saturday afternoon against the visiting Lees-McRae Bobcats in Conference Carolinas action.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
The Hawks outpaced the Bobcats 22-9 on shots and 11-5 on target.
Olivia Borer snagged five saves to keep the Hawks unbeaten on the season. Borer and the back-line defense of Rebekah Langley, Ashlyn Smith, Shannon Park, and Sydney Henderson have not allowed a goal at home this season and four clean sheets.
HOW IT HAPPENED
1st Half
Both teams battled for possession in the opening stanza as the first shot of the contest was recorded in the 28' of action by Lees-McRae.
Chowan recorded their first shot in the 32' by Sabrina Henderson but pushed it just wide left. In the 34', Mackenzie Imamura had a great look at the cage on a free kick just outside the 18-yd box. Imamura slid the shot just over the crossbar.
Just a minute later, Lees-McRae pushes up the field and fires off a dangerous shot from short range but Olivia Borer didn't quiver as the Hawks' keeper stuffs the shot and clears the danger.
Chowan and Lees-McRae headed into the half scoreless.
2nd Half
The second half was much of the same as neither team was able to find the back of the net thanks to stellar goal keeping by both sides.
Lees-McRae was given a free-kick in the 72' form 21-yds out but sailed it high.
In the 87', Chowan had chances by Carolina Lucci and Hope Kohl but were kept out of the back of the net by LMC's keeper Alexis Feely.
In the 89', the Hawks had two chances to score as Carolina Lucci was denied twice by LMC's keeper. Chowan received a free-kick just outside the box but were unable to make a dangerous shot. LMC played the remainder of the match receiving a red-card on the hard foul.
1st Overtime
Both sides recorded a shot in the first overtime. LMC recorded a shot on frame just 26 seconds into the first OT period but Olivia Borer denied the attempt. In the 99', Carolina Lucci recorded a shot but was saved by the Bobcat keeper.
2nd Overtime
Chowan dominated play in the second overtime period posting two shots on frame. Neither team was able to find the back of the net during the 110 minutes of play.
