FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Chowan Bowling team wrapped up the CIAA Event I hosted by Fayetteville State on Sunday with Baker match play. The Hawks went 0-12 on the weekend playing all CIAA Northern Division opponents.

INSIDE THE LANES
Chowan as a team averaged 636.6 on the day with the team high 702 coming in the match of the event.
Individual scores averaged 127.32 for a total of 3,183 pins.
The Hawks saw two of their highest scores of the day recorded in the final match against Virginia Union knocking down 175 and 169 pins. VUU would not be outdone with games of 197 and 173.
Chowan fell just short in the third match against Virginia State falling by 30 pins. The Hawks would hold a 414-407 lead heading into the final two games of the match. Virginia State would rally to take the fourth game 162-138 to regain the lead by 17 pins.
