GREENSBORO, NC - The Chowan University women's cross country team competed in the Greensboro XC Invitational at Hogan State Park in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks finished eight out of the eight teams that competed in the 5k race with a total of 60 runners. The Hawks finished with a team score of 225.
Ashley Tackett paced the Hawks and finished in 34th overall crossing the finish line in 23:04.09. Finishing in 50th overall,
Chasity Henderson crossed the finish line in 28:22.36, followed by
Kaila Hardin who completed the 5k in 29:44.84 placing 54th overall.
Natalia Andrade completed the race at the 34:16.51 mark and rounding out the scoring for the Blue and White,
Jomecka Deloatch finished with a time of 34:32.18.
Clarion University finished in first place out of the eight team entries with 40 points. Finishing in 1st place individually was Domtila Kiplagat of Winston-Salem State University with a time of 19:24.81.
