Box Score KISSIMMEE, FL- The Chowan University men's soccer team battled Belhaven University through two overtime periods in the opening round of the NCCAA National Championship before settling for a 0-0 draw on Monday evening. The Hawks post an 11-7-4 record after Monday's contest while the Blazers stand 13-3-2.
Chowan tallied six shots in the contest.
Jordan Radisavljevic and
Terell Williamson both recorded two shots while
Christian Funes and
Dylan Helms addded one shot apiece. Radisavljevic and Williamson combined for three shots on goal over the course of the game.
Belhaven tallied seven shots on Monday led by Cillian Thompson with five shots. Thompson was also responsible for the lone shot on goal in the contest for the Blazers.
Marco Lujan made one save in goal for the Hawks while Ben Schaefer recorded three saves for the Blazers over the course of 110 minutes of play.
Chowan and Belhaven both earned one point after the draw in the opening round of pool play.
The Hawks take the field again on December 1
st to take on Grace College. Game time is slated for 7:00pm.
