CARY, NC- The Chowan University women's cross country season came to an end on Thursday afternoon at the CIAA Championship. The Hawks finished in 10th place out of 12 teams. They earned a team score of 214.
Winston-Salem State University took home first place honors with a team score of 33. All of their five scoring runners finished in the top ten. Domtila Kiplagat Winston-Salem finished in first place in the 71 runner field with a time of 19:09.
Jomecka Deloatch paced the Hawks with a time of 21:35. She earned a 12th place finish for the Blue and White.
Ashley Tackett trekked the course in 22:31 and finished in 18th place.
Chasity Henderson crossed the finish line at the 27:38 mark with a 58th place finish while
Natalia Andrade completed the course with a time of 28:05 earning 61st place.
Kaila Hardin rounded out the scoring for the Hawks. She finished in 65th place with a time of 31:55.
