MECHANICSVILLE, VA  - The Chowan University women's cross country team competed in the XC Only Nation Invitational at  Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Virginia on Saturday morning.  The Hawks finished six out of the six teams that competed in the 5k race with a total of 48 runners. The Hawks finished with a team score of 167.

Jomecka Deloatch paced the Hawks and finished in 36th place overall crossing the finish line in 21:42.6. Not very far behind Deloatch, Ashley Tackett finished in 38th overall with a time of 22:20.0. Chasity Henderson crossed the finish line in 27:19.4, followed by Kaila Hardin who completed the 5k in 28:07.2.  Rounding out the scoring for the Blue and White, Natalia Andrade finished with a time of 28:40.1.

Marshall University finished in first place out of the six team entries with 29 points.  Finishing in 1st place individually was Adriana Cook of Marshall with a time of 18:19.2.
