Box Score CARY, NC- The Chowan University men's soccer team picked up their first win of the season on Saturday afternoon with a 4-1 victory over William Peace University.  Kendal Pressey had a hat-trick in the win for the Hawks.  Chowan out-shot the Pacers 18-9 on the afternoon.
 
Chowan got on the board in the 36^th minute with an own goal by the Pacers.  Pressey went to work from there, scoring in the 37^th and 38^th minute to put the Hawks ahead 3-0.   Andrew Suarez scored for William Peace in the 62^nd minute with a header off a free kick from Kenneth Brubaker. 
 
Pressey and the Hawks struck again in the 72^nd minute to give Chowan a commanding 4-1 lead to close out the contest. 
 
Grayson Smith made five saves in goal for the Hawks.  Chowan takes the pitch again on October 26^th in a 3:00pm contest against Belmont Abbey College.
