RALEIGH, NC - The men's tennis team dropped to 2-4 on the year after losing to Shaw University 9-0 on Sunday afternoon. The Hawks were shut down in straight sets in all of their singles matches and won just four games on the doubles side.

Darik Gilman dropped his #1 singles match 6-2, 6-3 while Raitis Abolins dropped the #2 singles match 6-1, 6-0. Jonathan Walker dropped his #3 singles match with a final score of 6-0, 6-0 while Mike Fencil fell 6-0, 6-1 in the #4 singles match. Adam Moneypenny dropped his #5 singles match 6-2, 6-1 and Ira Coates lost the #6 singles play with a final match score of 6-0, 6-0.

Gilman and Abolins dropped the #1 doubles match 8-2 while Walker and Moneypenny fell 8-0 in the #2 doubles match. Fencil and Coates fell 8-2 in the #3 doubles draw.
