Baseball Rolls to Doubleheader Sweep at Saint Pauls

Box Scores vs. Saint Pauls College

LAWRENCEVILLE, VA - The Hawks pounded out 30 hits and scored 31 runs as they rolled to a doubleheader sweep of Saint Pauls College this afternoon. The Hawks won with final game scores of 16-1 and 15-1. Today's wins moves to the Hawks to 17-10 on the year.

Bryan Hill cruised to his 4th win of the season after tossing 5 innings giving up one run and striking out nine batters in the first game. Chowan tallied 16 hits with Jordan Whitlatch, Nate Stanton, and Justin Bagbey all collecting three hits each. Collectively the trio accounted for nine of the Hawks' 16 runs.

Game two was much the same as the first one as the Hawks had 14 hits. John Kellett and Zac Caito tallied two hits and three RBI each while Mike Taylor had two hits and a triple. John Atkins picked up the win on the mound for Chowan but four pitchers saw time in relief in the five inning game.

Chowan will host Saint Pauls on Sunday in a doubleheader set to start at 1:00pm.
