BRISTOL, TN - The softball team dropped two games to King College this evening, moving them to 15-9 on the year. The Hawks fell with final scores of 5-1 and 8-7. Rain delays pushed today's start time back to 5:00pm from the originally scheduled 2:00pm start time. This is the first time that the team has hit the field since leaving for spring break on Friday.

The Hawks fell in the first game with a final score of 5-1. Shellie Wimpey picked up the loss on the mound after giving up three homeruns. She also recorded seven strike outs in the loss. Allie Kolezynski and Jenna Lassiter tallied two hits each in the loss.

Chowan battled back from an 8-2 deficit in the nightcap but fell just short of forcing extra innings as they lost 8-7. Brooke Owen was 3-4 at the plate with a run scored and an RBI while Lassier knocked in two runs on two hits. Tricia Gorman ended the game 2-3 at the plate with a run scored.

The Hawks will continue with their spring break trip as they travel to Lincoln Memorial University tomorrow afternoon for a 1:00pm game. Friday's game at Lees McRae is set to start at 12:00pm.
