Box Scores vs. USC-Aiken

AIKEN, SC - The baseball team dropped a 7-2 decision at USC-Aiken this evening, moving them to 9-7 on the year. Justin Bagbey accounted for both Chowan runs with two solo homeruns.

Bagbey put the Hawks on the board in the 2nd inning with a solo homerun to leftcenter field. That homerun pulled his team within one of the Pacer lead at 2-1. Two innings later Bagbey drilled his 7th homer of the season to right center field to knot the game at 2-2. The Pacers exploded for five runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to put the game away at 7-2.

Austin Eubanks threw 7 innings in the loss, his first of the season. He gave up four runs on nine hits and struck out two batters. Chowan tallied just four hits in the game with Bagey getting two of them. Mike Taylor and Jordan Whitlatch had one hit each in the loss.

Chowan will play the Pacers tomorrow at 6:00pm to wrap up their two-game series.
