NEWPORT NEWS, VA- Aaron Scott dropped a career-high 35 points as Chowan rolled to an 85-66 win Williamson Trade School this afternoon. The Hawks improve to 16-9 on the year and 6-0 in the month of Febraury. Scott joins the 1,000 point club, making him only the 6th player in program history to obtain such a feat.

Chowan opened the gates on a 8-2 run over a two-minute span to start the game. Around the 13:30 mark in the first half, the Hawks made a 9-0 run to go ahead 21-8 with under ten minutes left in the half. Chowan went into halfime leading 44-29. Most of the second half the Hawks were ahead by double-digits with their largest lead was 23 with under a minute remaining in the game.

The Hawks shot 55% from the floor including 10-23 from beyond the arch. Chowan forced 21 Williamson turnovers and capitalized by scoring 22 points off those turnovers.

Aaron Scott led the Hawks' attack by scoring a career-high 35 points in 26 minutes of play. Scott shot 68% (15-22) from the field including hitting five three-pointers. In addition, Scott dished out five assists along with two steals.

Junior Forward Lando Morrison scored 15 points on 6-7 shooting while senior guard Chris Kenon dished out a career high eight assists.

The Hawks will play Southern Virginia University tomorrow at 3:30pm in second day play of the Great Ships Classic.
