CHARLOTTE, NC - Competing in their first-ever match as a collegiate program,  the women's bowling team ended day one of the CIAA West Division Round Up at 2-3 in match play. The Hawks took losses to Johnson C. Smith University, Fayetteville State University, and Saint Augustine's College but beat Livingstone and Shaw in head-to-head play. 

The Hawks fell to Johnson C. Smith 637-694 but bounced back to take a 639-595 match win over Livingstone College. Saint Augustine's College edged the Hawks 643-638 in their final head-to-head match of the round up. Fayetteville State handed the Hawks a 790-612 loss but they turned that loss around with a 596-455 win over Shaw.

The tournament will move into day two play tomorrow and continue through Sunday afternoon. Check back later for individual scores from today's matches.
