WASHINGTON, DC - The women's basketball team picked up their second consecutive win as they rolled to an easy 67-38 win over Columbia Union College in the opening round of the UDC Independent Classic.

The Hawks, now 4-9 on the season, had two players in double-figures with Taylor Hughes scoring a team-high 12 points. She also had six rebounds and six blocked shots in the win. Joining her in double figures was Alicia McMorris who netted 10 points and dished out five assists. Freshman Nichelle Bethea had a solid performance with nine points and nine rebounds.

The Hawks will play host-team the University of the District of Columbia tomorrow at 3:00pm in their next outing.
