ELIZABETH CITY, NC - The volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Elizabeth City State University this evening, moving them to 11-8 on the season. The Hawks dropped the first set of the match 25-19 but bounced back to take set two 25-20. The Vikings hung on to edge out the Hawks in the final two sets with scores of 25-16 and 25-20.

Despite losing the match the Hawks out hit the Vikings 45 to 39 with two players hitting in double figures. Both Tori Lewis and Antoinette McCollough had double digit kills with 16 and 10 respectively. Nicole Shoup had 18 digs while Melissa Hallam had 35 assists.

The Vikings improve to 15-6 overall after tonight' win over the visiting Hawks. Chowan will host a tri match with North Greenville and Virginia State University on Friday. Their first match will take place 4:00pm.
