Box Scores vs. Wingate

WINGATE, NC - Wingate University used five second half goals to help propel them to a 6-0 victory over the visiting Hawks on Monday evening. The Bulldogs out shot Chowan 30 to one in the match. Chowan falls to 4-6 overall after the shut out loss.

The Hawks played tight with Wingate through 43 minutes, allowing just one goal in the first period. However Chowan's steady keeper Kristy Brown went down with an injury in the 43rd minute, forcing the Hawks to play a positon player in goal. Brown tallied seven saves in 43 minutes while Katie Duncan had three saves and five goals allowed.

Chowan, now 4-6, will take a few needed days rest before heading into the weekend to host Lenoir-Rhyne College at 2:00pm on Saturday.
