ETTRICK, VA - The volleyball team picked up a 3-1 win at Virginia State on Sunday afternoon, running their overall record to 10-5 on the year. Chowan dropped the first set 25-21 but bounced back with three straight set wins to take the match.

The Hawks out hit the Trojans 49 to 25 in thematch while three of Chowan's players contributed double-digit kills. Desaray Turner paced the Hawks with 13 kills in 29 attempst. She also tallied 13 digs in the win. Both Adrian Cook and Antoinette McCollough had 11 kills and one block each. McCollough also had three service aces. Melissa Hallam collected 39 assists, three aces, and 11 digs while Nicole Shoup had 15 digs in the match.

The Hawks, now 10-5, will travel to Shaw University tomorrow in their next match up.
