JEFFERSON CITY, TN - Head Coach Ken Miller's return to his alma mater, Carson Newman College, didn't go as good as he would have liked as the Hawks were shut out on the afternoon, losing with a final score of 4-0.

The Hawks were held to two shots on the day while the Eagles got off 26 team shots. Josh Cenci started in goal for Chowan. He tallied eight saves and allowed all four scores.

The Hawks kept the powerhouse Eagles out of goal until the 32nd minute when they scored to take a 10 lead. They added three unanswered scores in the second period to take the match 4-0.

The Hawks will make their home season debut on Wednesday as they host Mount Olive College at 4:00pm.
