MURFREESBORO - The Hawks won the 2nd Annual Janet Collins Invitational this afternoon after going undefeated in the two-day tournament. The Hawks picked up straight set wins over Roanoke Bible and Allen University today to improve to 4-0 on the season.

Chowan out hit Allen 28 to 5 in the match with Victoria Lewis getting a team-high eight kills in 12 attempts. Desaray Turner had three service aces to go with three kills and 11 assists. Setter Melissa Hallam had 12 assists to add to Turner's.

Desaray Turner was named MVP of the Invitational while teammates Adrian Cook and Antoinette McCollough were named to the All Tournament Team.

The Hawks will travel to Raleigh and Saint Augustine's College on Wednesday of next week in their next match up.
