ROCKY MOUNT  - The women's tennis team picked up a 6-3 win at North Carolina Wesleyan College on Wednesday afternoon. The win marks their second of the season as they finished 2-9 overall.

Chowan won the #3-#6 singles matches and took two out three doubles matches for the win. Kashae Beverly beat Leila Heinonen 6-2, 6-3 at the #3 singles while Amanda Spaulding won against Meghan Herd 6-0, 6-1 for the win at the #4 singles match. Melinda Williams and Brittany Allen beat their NCWC opponents at the #5 and #6 singles spots 6-2, 6-3 and 6-4, 6-4 respectively.

Beverly and Spaulding won their #2 doubles match and Williams and Allen paired up to win the #3 doubles match for the final 6-3 win over the Bishops.
