BANNER ELK, NC - The Hawks dropped a doubleheader at Lees-McRae College this afternoon, losing game one 3-2 in eight innings and 10-2 in the nightcap. Today's losses move Chowan to 20-26 on the season.

The first game went to international play after the score was knotted at 2-2 through seven complete innings. Chowan was unable to score in the 8th while LMC scored as a result of an error and took the win 3-2. Shellie Wimpey gets the loss on the mound while Jenna Lassiter was 2-4 with an RBI. Mindy Byrd had one hit with one run scored and one RBI.

The Hawks fell in five innings in the second game 10-2. Melissa Woodrum produced the Hawks only runs with a two-run homer.

Chowan has six remaining games on their schedule with North Carolina Wesleyan on Sunday, Catawba on Monday and then Mount Olive on the 15th. All games are on the road and are doubleheaders.
