FLORENCE, SC - One day after handing the #15 team in the nation 7-6 loss on their home field, the Hawks dropped an 18-2 decision to FMU this afternoon.

The Hawks pitching staff gave up 20 hits to the Patriots with Mark Peterson getting loss after throwing 3.1 innings and giving up six earned runs.

Chowan was held to six hits in the game with Nate Mitchell getting two hits and two RBI. The Hawks will hit the field again on Friday, this time at home, as they host Pace University at 2:00pm.

Chowan falls to 15-9 while FMU moves to 21-10 on the season.
