CENTRAL, SC - Southern Wesleyan scored four runs in the bottom of the 9th inning to beat Chowan 16-15 this afternoon. The Hawks, now 13-7 on the season, had 17 hits but committed five errors in the loss.

Anthony O'Brien picked up the loss on the mound after giving up the lead. Joey Ryder was 4-4 at the plate with three runs scored and one RBI while freshman Zack Beasley was 3-6 with four runs knocked in. Billy Walling added two hits and three RBI.

The Hawks return to Hawkins Field this weekend where they will round out spring break with a three-game series with Millersville University.
