MARS HILL, NC - The softball team fell to 4-8 on the season after dropping a doubleheader at Mars Hill College this afternoon. The Hawks were held to two hits in the doubleheader.

Krystle Thomas pitched six innings in the first game, allowing five hits and four runs. She suffered her second season loss on the mound today. Jenna Lassiter had the lone hit in the first game.

Chowan dropped the second game 8-0 with Sara Teh picking up the loss. Teh gave up nine hits in four innings of work. Melissa Woodrum had the only hit for Chowan in the game.

The Hawks will wrap up their six game weekend road trip tomorrow with a doubleheader at Sweetbriar.
