WASHINGTON, D.C. - The women's basketball team fell to 7-18 on the season after dropping a 50-43 decision to the University of the District of Columbia this afternoon. The Hawks trailed by four at the half and stayed on UDC's heels until the final minute where several critical turnovers put the game out of reach.

UDC, now 15-6 overall, shot 35% from the floor while also out rebounding Chowan 39 to 36. The Hawks hit 33% from the floor, led offensively by Brittany Nicholson who turned in 11 points and three assists. AJ O'Bannion chipped in 10 points and grabbed four rebounds.

The Hawks will host their final two home games next week as they host Newport News Apprentice on Tuesday and Allen University on Thursday. Both games will tip off at 6:00pm.
