WASHINGTON, D.C. - The women's basketball team wrapped up their 2007-08 season with a 75-47 loss to Central State University in their final game of the UDC-Independent Classic. The Hawks finished the tournament 1-2 and in fourth place out of  eight participating teams. Sophomore AJ O'Banion earned All Tournament honors after another double-digit scoring outing.

O'Banion poured in 23 points in the team's loss but it still wasn't enough to help cut into a CSU lead. O'Banion and freshman Najah Harris, who scored 13 points, combined for 36 of the team's 47 total points.

Chowan finished the season at 10-20 overall and graduated two seniors in Ashley Banks and Keyon Sellers.
