WASHINGTON, D.C. - The women's basketball team snapped Flager University's nine-game winning streak after beating them 61-52 in the Independent Classic hosted by The University of the District of Columbia. Tonight's win moves the Hawks to 10-18 overall.

For Chowan AJ O'Banion scored 14 points to lead the team while Najah Harris chipped in 13 points. The Hawks advance to the winners bracket of the tournament and will play tomorrow night at 5:00pm agains the winner of the late game tonight, #1 Puerto Rico-Bayoman and and #8 Columbia Union.
