Box Scores vs. St. Andrews
LAURINBURG, NC - Nine different players scored for Chowan as they rolled to a 67-56 win over St. Andrews College after a ten day break from the court. The Hawks shot 44% from the floor in the game and forced the Knights to turn the ball over 26 times in the game.
AJ O'Banion paced Chowan's offensive attack with 13 points off the bench to go with five rebounds and five steals. Ransheda Jennings joined O'Banion in double figures with 11 points. Jennings shot 2-3 from beyond the three-point arch.
Newcomer Taylor Hughes came off the bench to score eight points and grab seven boards while Acquanette Simmons had eight points and five rebounds in the game. Chowan broke a two-game losing skid with tonight's win and improve to 3-9 on the year.
The Hawks are slated to play in the UDC Independent Classic this weekend. They will play Columbia Union College on Saturday at 6:00pm and then Sunday at 3:00pm against host-team UDC.
