Box Scores vs. ECSU

ELIZABETH CITY - The Hawks' two-game win streak ended tonight as they fell to Elizabeth City State University with a final score of 78-64. The Vikings improve to 6-0 after the win while Chowan falls to 2-5.

Chowan entered the game hitting 44% from the field and posted big shooting percentage numbers against Virginia State and St. Andrews. But the Vikings cooled the hot hands of the Hawks as they held them to 22 first half points and only eight field goals from the floor.

The Vikings took a 43-22 lead into the halftime break. Chowan came out halftime and posted 42 second half points but the first half deficit was too much to overcome. Chowan committed 19 turnovers which the Vikings turned into 17 points. ECSU's Anthony Hilliard scored 28 points and had 11 boards in the win.

Mark Brown and Layth Mansour each scored 13 points for Chowan while Jaleel Nelson schoed 10 points and grabbed five rebounds.

The Hawks will travel to Lees-McRae on Saturday for a 2:00pm match up. They will host Mount Olive College on December 10th in their next home outing.
