WILSON, NC - The women's basketball team dropped their sixth straight game after losing to Barton College on the road with a final score of 80-58. Barton shot 51% from the field en route to the win while the Hawks were held to 33% from the floor in the game.

Chowan trailed by 14 at the half as Barton took a 35-21 lead. The Bulldogs added 45 second half points while the Hawks netted 37 second half points. Najah Harris hit for a game-high 16 points. Half of her points came from the free throw line as she hit 8-10 from the stripe. Demicka McMahan came off the bench to score 14 points while Ransheda Jennings chipped in seven points.

The Hawks will hit the court again on Wednesday night as they travel to North Carolina Wesleyan College. They will return to the Helms Center on Friday night when they host UNC-Pembroke. Game time is 6:00pm.
