Box Scores vs. St. Aug's

MURFREESBORO - The volleyball team improved to 14-8 on the season after beating St. Augustine's College in straight sets tonight. The Hawks won with final set scores of 25-17, 25-16, and 25-20. The Falcons drop to 9-12 on the season after the match.

Chowan out hit St. Augustine's 29 to 23 in the match and tallied 12 team kills in the third set. Adrian Cook and Antoinette McCollough each had team-high seven kills. Cook also tallied three blocks, two of which were solo blocks. Setter Melissa Hallam set up 24 assists and Nicole Shoup had a team-high three service aces.

For St. Augustine's, Shakira Carter had seven kills to lead her team. Brittany Watts had six kills and nine digs.

The Hawks will host Shaw University on Thursday in a 6:00pm match. The Falcons will travel to CIAA opponent Fayetteville State tomorrow night in their next outing.
